Oakton Manor: http://www.oaktonmanor.org/ The mission of Oakton Manor is to provide a clean, secure, supervised, supportive living environment in a home-like setting where adults broken and devastated by mental illness, poverty and often years of living without proper health care, will be physically and spiritually nourished in an environment utilizing Biblical beliefs and principles. Most of the 75 residents at Oakton Manor suffer from some form of severe and chronic mental illness such as bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, or severe depression. Residents range in age from 20 to 80 years with the majority of our residents falling between the ages of 50 – 70 years old.
Note: Unfortunately, Oakton Manor changed their policies and currently only allows students 18+ at volunteer with the residents. If this policy is changed, we will definitely return.
